it was not the star car of the movie but the black car driven by the Night Rider

max s car was a auzie ford falcon its looks more like are(usa) ford torino from the 1970

The night riders car is a holden HQ monaro. Max's car is an (altered) australian ford falcon hardtop. Both are early 70s vehicles and v8's.

The two cars in the top right row of this set of pictures are the monaro from the film whilst the two top left are of a very nice redone monaro (hq i think).
