All MASC cold air intakes ordered after April 1st will have our new air filter. This filter is twice the length of the old filter. WE achieved this by shortening the "velocity stack" style base of the filter while still maintaining the flow qualities of this area. This leaves enough room left to double the length of the filter. Our customers have demonstrated that our air intakes offer the highest available output on the market, have the best filtering ability (down to 4 microns), and a design that was proven on the Australian Monaro over 2 years ago. Though the old filter flowed within 1 horsepower of no filter at all, the new filter flows even better and give you that GREAT intake noise. Don't forget, unlike some of the intakes from our competitors, our intakes are made of ABS plastic that doesn't transfer engine heat to the intake. Therefore we have a true cold-air intake. On recent testing of a competitor's metal-piped intake the closed-hood difference in the temperature of the intake charge was over 18 degrees hotter!

I was reading at one of the Goat forums that somebody had trouble with a plastic intake melting, Why doesn't someone make one that uses the big rubber hose like the duramax diesel has but maybe bigger?
