I'm thinking about some stripes on my black GTO but I can't find any pictures of a 04 GTO with stripes.
I know the oldies didn't have stripes but my paint scheme is just too boring for me.
I was thinking about some rally stripes but I don't want to offend all those old GTO collectors with something like rally stripes.

Has anyone seen one with stripes of any kind?

I wouldn't worry about what the old ones had or didn't have. The old and new GTO share nothing but the name. The old one certainly wasn't an "import".

I just added pinstripes to my Quicksilver last weekend. They look great (black on top and red on the bottom 1/8th inch each). While this color scheme wouldn't work for you, I'm sure something with red. I hope to have pictures soon.
Howie has the judge stripes (wide black on his yellow) GTO. They are in the registry I believe.

I have access to some really good graphics programs and a body shop at my disposal.
I was thinking about something like the old Oldsmobile 442 rally stripes but an updated version that would look right on my car.
I went to the paint store and after about four hours and nearly going colorblind looking at chips I found what I consider to be the perfect accent color. It’s a black very similar to what’s on the car but with gold metallic.
The color is nearly a match for the paint on the car so it would be a kind of now you see it now you don’t effect. My other option was to put some gold pearl in some clear and spray the stripes like that so that it would have ghost stripes sort of like the old meets the new but the GTO never had the rally stripes :(

Tips and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have some pictures of my new stripes. I got them on and it's sitting in the spray booth right now drying. I'll pull the tape off tomorrow morning email me if you would like to see what they look like.
I can't figure out how to post the pictures they're over the size limit I think???? :(

Silver on Black?

Well I got my digital pictures, loaded them to the computer and tried to add them to the registry. No luck; too big. I then used my jpeg compression software, and still not able to add them. If anyone has an idea what might be going wrong, (I did the browse, add image), it says successful, but they are not there. I'd like some advice. Thanks. :(

For putting them up for me Branden.

I like how the outside of the stripes line up with the outside of the grill... very nice touch. The gold isn't bad... not sure it is me but i definately like the overall effect.

By the same token, the original Firebirds certainly weren't imported from Canada too.
