I have one LQ4 shortblock with LS1 heads (casting #853) and intake on it. This is a freshly rebuilt motor ready to drop in. Perfect swap for any fbody or GTO! As far as the weight difference between the aluminum LS1 and the larger displacement iron block 6.0 I’ve heard that it’s anywhere from 80 – 100 lbs heavier. Guys that have done this swap have been EXTREMELY pleased with the results.

This engine came out of an '00 2500 HD Chevy. The engine has been professionally torn down and rebuilt so by BaskettCase Psycho Racing and is of the UTMOST quality.

I bought this engine to do a swap in my '01 V6 Firebird but I wound up trading my fbod in for an '04 GTO. So now I'm just trying to get this bad boy to someone who can put it to some good use.

NOTE – If you already have an LS1 then you’re set. The LS1 accessories and computer/wiring harness will hook right up to the 6.0. If you are planning on dropping this engine into a non-LS1 or non LQ4/LQ9 vehicle then you will need the LS1 accessories, computer and wiring harness to complete it.
