As most of us saw in the flash animation there was a shiftlight that went on in the speedo/tach cluster when you hit the redline, does this actually work in the car and does it shine when you hit the redline?

It used to. They had them all deactivated when brought here. I should've added that in the FAQ too.

I wonder how hard it would be to "re-activate" it? :D

Someone has to be working on it.

Them Aussies get all the goodies. We on the other hand get the EPA, the NHTSA, the Insurance Companies Association, etc.

This car has been regulated to almost oblivion. I cannot believe they de- activated an actual working shift light. If any of you guys find how to activate it, please share the knowledge.

They probably replaced it with that stupid MPH light on the speedo. I wish I could turn that off.

I read on another board that an owner removed the instrument cluster gauge and covered the LED bulbs illuminating the MPH with some dark window tint.

I don't really plan on driving the goat much at night so I doubt if this will be an issue for me. But I can see how that can be irritating during prolonged nighttime driving.

As far as the "rest reminder" showing the picnic table, I think that can be turned off using the DIC controls. Personally, I find it a little corny myself. I guess they don't like driving long distance in Australia and need to be reminded to take a break every 2 hours or so.

Is this in FAQ yet? How about a way to reprogram it?
