Hello everyone, I'm new to this board and figured I'd introduce myself.
I'm a 24 year old federal police officer in Connecticut. I very recently picked up my 2004 Quicksilver GTO, which I am very happy about. You can check out a few shots here: http://community.webshots.com/album/154727770HaphqH
I'm glad I finally found a place to converse with other 2004 GTO owners(they're few and far around CT it seems). Looking forward to hanging out with you all.

I woke up this morning and found your car in my garage.
LOLOLOL!
Welcome aboard. So will your traffic enforcement buddies allow you some some "get out of jail" cards when pulled over driving that beast?
Do those "FOP" support stickers really work?

1964GTO is correct, mine has black leather interior. I actually met my car's twin at an auto show here in CT a week ago. The owner was an older gentleman who was quite friendly, so talking with him for a while was enjoyable.
As far as "get out of jail" cards and FOP stickers - Most cops will give other cops breaks when it comes to minor traffic infractions ie: speeding, stop signs, red lights, etc. However, just having a FOP sticker on the car won't neccesarily guarentee you a break. If you're the spouse of a police officer or a child, chances are you'll get a verbal or written warning. If the police officer finds out that you got it from a friend or some other non-immediate family member, you'll probably get a ticket. It all depends on the officer making the stop and the reason for the stop itself. There really is no set rule or norm. ;)
PS - Thanks for the welcome everyone!!

Welcome. And as Tails stated, I've had my car since March 9th, and every time somebody asks how I like it, I just get a big stupid grin on my face...

I now find myself having to keep from laughing because I can see the question coming and I know that I'm gonna smile like an idiot in response!
