: Dual Exhaust (quad tips) how'd they do it?

I have seen a few GTO's with quad tips. I am considering getting a custom magnaflow system made (when I get my GTO hopefully next week, knock on wood).

I know GM is coming out with a ground effects kit, but are people just cutting an extra outlet on the right side of the stock bumper?

Thanks

In that instance, they cut the bumper.

I love it. I really really love it. If they do that and scoops that are functional for 05 along with 400 ponies it will be perfect. That exhaust is sweet. If i wasnt leasing a GTO i would do that.

I would get an Exacto knife and cut out my rear bumper that way too just to accommodate 2 more tips.

Best one I have seen so far for the GTO. I really like it. Adding it to my long list of future mods.

When I see a hood scoop design that I like, I will add that to my list too. But so far, I still prefer the stock 04 hood over the aftermarket ones. Maybe the 05 hood scoops that will come standard will grow on me. That will be an easy swap, as long as they continue the Quicksilver metallic color. Unfortunately, car makers seem to discontinue a color after just one year, as in the Barbados Blue.

I agree, I think it looks sweet.

If I end up leasing a GTO, I will still do it. I really dont think it would be a big deal. Worst comes to worst I will save the piece I cut off and then super glue it back on when it's time to turn the car in, they HARDLY inspect cars after leases anyways. Does it seem pretty easy to cut an opening for the duelies? If so, I am going to get a custom fabricated setup quickly, I cant wait to hear the LS1 rumble :)

Does anyone have a pic of the under-side of the GTO?

THanks

FWIW - the Last Ride car was at the GTOAA nationals and we got to look at it up close. They just hung dual tips on the right side for the movie - it's not even an active exhaust outlet.

Anyone install one of these systems yet? I would like to know what issues (if any) you may have experienced in cutting out the rear facia for the right side outlet. Otherwise, I think this system looks really :knightrider: !

I want the system they used on the Woodward GTO. I like the old Trans-Am look of the Dual Tips facing downward thats the exhaust I want, and will figure out how to install on my Goat, but with Flowmaster Mufflers.

I've actually already purchased the full BORLA quad exhaust system, but have been saving up the money to get the fabrication done on my bumper. I'm not just going to cut it like some the guys on this post have suggested. I think if you did it that way it would look tacky and cheap, something the GTO doesn't deserve. I'm getting the bumper professionally fabricated and painted by my body shop,so that both sides match and look the same. Its going cost me $700.00, but I feel it will be worth it......... :D

If I can get the rear valence from RKSPORT'S ground effects package I might go that route. I don't want the full body kit, just the rear bumper with the inlet for dual quad exhaust.
