: New GM incentive for the GTO!
Hey guys and gals hot off the press the GTO has a new GM incentive. If you finance or Smartbuy the car through GMAC you can receive a $2000 rebate on the car. That is only good if you finance the car with GMAC not if you pay cash or finance it through another lender!!! It is compatible with the 2.9% for 60 or any of the other GM options.
Oh and buy the way it also works with GMS and Supplier customers.
Orbit Orange 07-26-2004, 03:20 PM Jason,
Is this for all areas, or just the North Central area as shown on another post here on the site?
If this is for all areas I could have saved $2000 if I would have waited until this week instead of last week. I financed through GMAC at 2.9 for 60 mo. And the date was 7/21. Five days and I could have saved 2 grand if this is good for all areas not just the North Central.
Oh well, some people paid sticker or more and didn't get 2.9 so I guess I'm alright. Just smarts that I was that close to saving another 2 grand.
I guess if you got this information it must be good for your region too, the South Central.
Thanks for any info. Hopefully many will take advantage of this offer. :)
5point7 07-26-2004, 03:25 PM When does this take effect? Tomorrow like posted or Aug 2nd? WHOO HOO MI is in that area of the US too :)
It starts today and goes I guess until August 2nd at least until the end of July.
formula79 07-26-2004, 07:34 PM How many do you still have left in your allocation?
This is a steal huys, and Jason will get you the best deal there is!
BRMike 07-27-2004, 05:20 PM New to this site. I plan on buying a GTO in a few months. Maybe a long shot, but hoping for an Impulse blue with blue interior M6, but second choice will probably be much easier to get - Phatom black with red, M6. I'm assuming with slow sales that there will be plenty of GTO's left out there when I'm ready to buy. Right now I just have to get rid of my 2003 S10 (yellow, ZQ8, low miles, loaded)...... Any takers :-)
For the record, I live in Baton Rouge.... Not too far from Dallas...
I have 14 in stock right now and more coming!!! Let me know I will get you the best deal and if I have to dealer trade for one I will!!! I do have a Black/Red sitting on the lot ready to go!!! Let me know when you are ready to do something!!
BRMike 07-28-2004, 08:06 AM Does Sewell offer shipping? Would there be any possible way for a GTO to be shipped to the Sewell dealership in New Orleans? Just wondering.... My plan is to get my S10 paid down enough to sell it and make $1,000 to $2,000 on it. I have a little in savings from my Camaro (it was stolen in March, leaving me with the S10). My goal is November. All in all, I'm looking to get price of around $30k and put about $10k down. The cheapest I've found thus far is $30,8xx. That's at a dealership in Chicago.
KevinCalBears 07-28-2004, 07:24 PM Z06J,
If you get a good price say $30,800, do you still qualify for an additional $2000 savings on the 2.9% GMAC plan??
Thanx,
--Kevin

I'm no salesman and I won't presume to answer for Jason at Sewell but I'll take a crack at your question.
Negiotiate the best price you can (as you say 30,800) then if you qualify for 2.9 for 60 months I would say GMAC would then apply 2000 dollars towards the downpayment, effectively making the price of the GTO 28,800 if I understand this correctly. (You should be able to use GM card earnings also if you have them) The financing would then take the 28,800 price plus tax, title and registration and any paperwork fees.
A very good deal if you can swing it. :)

Hi, I have a question about the GTO incentatives. I'm going to be ordering a 2005 next week and was wondering why the dates on the incentatives is so short?

Most incentives are designned to move current inventory. They almost never apply to ordered cars. Car must arrive and be delivered during the incentive dates.
5point7 08-02-2004, 02:02 PM Hey z06J, any word on what might come out tomorrow (incentive wise?)
