Do the Aussies like the new Monaro...

With its hood scoops and dual exhaust?

Split exhaust doesnt do anything either way, over the years we've had them both ways and it looks fine on the new Monaro, although the colour of the rear fascia is a bit odd. The scoops don't make the car look bad, I think it still looks good, but they do detract from the appearance. They take the edge off the elegant style and lines of the Monaro making it look slightly boy racerish. A slight preference for no scoops here.

Gto looks alright with them but it clutters up the monaros front end IMO.

I agree it looks better on the GTO. Well its nice that the aussies and yanks have joined forces to kick some Japanese and German a** like we did during WW2.

If you cruise the Australian Holden forums, you will know that a majority of them were disappointed and thought the new styling was Holden bowing to GM pressure to "rice out" the new Monaro. A lot of Aussies love their understated Monaro look. But they have so much variety when it comes to choosing their cars built on the same Monaro platform, then they have HSV that turns these cars into verifiable hp/tq monsters.

I love cruising those forums because I learn a lot from them. To them, the Monaro has been around forever, tried and proven, and has been modded to the extreme.

I for one dont like the scoops but I do like the front clip and the rear. The sccops dont really suit the car, a bit like the wing they shoved on your GTO. Personally I think it spoils the lines of the car

LOVE the twin exhaust i think they look awsome. i cannot really dicide on the scoops i will have to see them to judge em, i think they come out in a couple of days along with the VZ.
