: July GTO Sales on the RISE!
formula79 08-03-2004, 06:10 PM Well somewhat. I spoke with Pontiac today, and they said that roughly 900 were sold in July. This is about 300 car increase over last months 597 deliveries. With increased incentives, and dealers pushing the car more, it is hoped this is the beginning of a trend as Pontiac clears out the rest of 04 production. With the 400HP 2005 GTO is set to begin production in just a few months, GM does not want 04's lingering on the lots.
(please do not turn this into a flame thread!)
Goat Lover 08-03-2004, 09:22 PM neat :)

Orbit Orange 08-03-2004, 11:53 PM As I said in another thread along these lines, this is good news.
I'm happy to be one of those lucky 897 in the month of July. It is roughly a 50% increase over last months 600 or so. This can be directly related to the incentives out in late July. GM should have done this 3 or 4 months ago. Granted it would have only been 900 to 1200 more cars but maybe we wouldn't have had all the complaints.
Looks like it will still be way shy of the 16 to 18 K they wanted to sell, but for a niche vehicle if they sell 8000 it will be good. I really don't see sales being over 10 K a year.
For comparisons sake only I wonder how many WS6 Trans Am's (not base Firebirds) were sold in 2002, 2001 and 2000. I think those numbers might be a realistic target per year but I'm not sure the Firebird sales numbers were broken down for each model (Firebird, Formula, Trans Am and WS6's)
With the 2005's around the corner though we might not see any bigger jumps in sales, I guess we will have to watch the incentives to guage sales.
:)
Sam 04 GTO 08-06-2004, 04:42 AM I'm happy to be one of the July sales as well. I work for a GM dealer, and the combination of 2.9, $2,000 rebate, and the GMS price was enough to have me trade in my Viper. (I'm a diehard GM guy!)
:)
I just turned 500 miles on the Goat, and she feels better every day. I'll report back after the Patriot stage 2 heads and the Comp 230 cam go in on Sunday.
:D
I see some familiar names here, I go by Sam98TAM6 on ls1.com and CZ28.com

See you 'round.
Formulaonefan 08-18-2004, 04:39 PM What incentives? My dealer wanted sticker. How many days supply of 04's does Pontiac have?
Nocturn 08-18-2004, 07:58 PM Dito, the dealer I checked in Houston had 5 at 33,190 with not a single hint of a discount.

silverstreek 08-26-2004, 10:36 PM the gm mastercard just anounced a 1,000 dallor bonus added to earned credit dallors on most gm cars and trucks including for the first time the GTO.Some Maryland dealers are ofering 2,700 incentive to wich you can add the GM CARD bonus.
droopy 08-27-2004, 11:49 PM I just got a flyer in the mail today that offered 1500 in GM card bonus earings. That's in addition to my 1,000 in card earnings. I've been reading the fine print. It says this offer can't be combined with the "New Vehicle Purchase Program discount (GM discount)." Is that the 2.9% for 60 mos and the 2,000 rebate offer ?
If not then I could get 4,500 off whatever deal I could negotiate. That's pretty tempting !
TX-04 GTO 09-20-2004, 01:02 PM Now they are offering $3500 plus 2.9% over 60 months. Plus the dealer here in Austin kicked in a bit in order to move the last few Goats off the lot so I was able to get mine for a bit over 27k.
Only 440 miles so far but the car is a blast.

Hey I'm also in Austin, is the 27K with the 3500 or without?
