Sometimes when I leave the line full throttle the car will start choking as if I was going in and out of the gas. Car starts to jerk back and forth  . I'm suspecting that maybe the cold air kit is coming loose by the clamps. If anyone has any theories as to why this is happening I'm all ears. Aside from this minor delay I love the GTO.

Have you checked/rechecked the clamps?

Sounds like it could be unfiltered air comming in under hard acceleration, double check all the connections and make sure no unmetered air is getting in.

Do you have the Traction Control turned OFF?

The reason I ask is as I was attempting a 3 car pass on a busy 2 lane road I went WOT with the TC on and the computer pulled out timing and throttle on me. It kind of shuddered and "choked".
I haven't tried any WOT blasts with the TC on yet, I'll always shut it off.

Maybe that's not the case but I'll always go with the simplest solution to the problem first, then go from there.

If not definitely check the hoses and clamps to make sure cold air kit is sealed properly. :)

You could be hitting the rev limiter maybe??

Check all your sensors, Check your clamps, and the grummet that the filter itself is attached to, also check all the areas around the throttle body, it's possible you somehow got it loose. If that failds I'd start checking your vaccume lines and other forms of suction/air... Never buy gas from 7/11 either. Your car will always run bad if you do.

I was thinking traction control also, soon as I read it. Whoever decided it needed to be installed on a RACE CAR should have all their skin sandblasted off.

I like the traction control actually, its the first car I have ever driven with it. We have had a couple ice storms around here and it does help if you aren't in the mood to drive sideways or spin the tires all day, which I don't mind doing usually. I would prefer that it be off as default and then turn it on if you want it on.

What would have been really bad is if there wasn't a button to turn it off, that would have been a deal breaker.
