goatfarmer 08-08-2004, 01:30 PM I've heard talk of some people wanting to sell their 04's to get an 05. I don't think I'm interested in doing this, but those extra ponies are enticing. For those interested in doing this how are you going to go about it without you wallet taking a beating? James desertgoat 08-08-2004, 02:59 PM It all depends on how much you paid for your 04? Did you pay MSRP at $33,190??? Did you pay dealer mark up? If so, how much? I know folks who willingly paid 35K and sometimes even 38K for their 04 GTO. If they sell their current cars, they will get very low $20's for it. Then the 05's will probably cost about $35K Some dealers (most dealers where I am from) will mark them up again. You do the math. You will save on the sales tax by trading it in if that applies. What kind of mods can you buy for 10K?
