I just saw an Impulse Blue 2005 GTO on I-75 headed toward GM HQ. No camera, but I did get a close look. My observations:

Great dual exhaust - exits on opposite sides - and re-worked rear bumper. Outlets on each side are about 20% bigger than each of the outlets on current version. Not coffee can, more Coke can. The exhausts are tied together visually with a rear lower bumper fascia (graphite/grey) with a large "GTO" molded in across the back. Looked terrific and makes the car look much less generic from the rear.

6.0 badge on the trunk lid to replace the 5.7. The LS2 should be unbelievable.

No hood scoops - no change to front end that I could detect.

Identical interior.

Couldn't judge the wheels and tires at highway speeds.

No rear spoiler, but saw the taped over mounting brackets. They really should offer the spoiler delete. Looks better without it - especially with the new rear exhuast and bumper treatment.

I was driving my black '04. When I saw the 6.0 badge, I felt like a kid with two scoops of ice cream when his brother walks up with three scoops - pure envy.

Must be one of the pilot cars that were built last Spring because Impulse Blue is not availalbe in '05 and the hood sccops are standard but can be deleted.

Impulse blue is available in 05 the barbados blue isn't

Also i think they wrote GTO enough on the car. When i get mine im going to be taking the GTO emblem off the trunk and just leave on the 6.0 badge

the bumper should say PONTIAC instead of GTO. I agree to many GTO emblems on the car already.

No where on the car at all will you find the pontiac name. Most people see the car and 'ask who make the GTO?'
