Did I mention that pesky little hurricane? Wasn't pesky or little when it traversed Florida, mind you (I've still got relatives all over the state.)

I left the mountains at 3 AM on Saturday to beat the storm to Wilmington...

I was in Myrtle beach from sunday to saturday. I heard about the storm and i had to leave early on thursday. Its a good thing i did. They had to evacuate that place.
By the way Mrytle beach was sweet. I had a great time. Jimmy Buffets margaritville was the best place.

Myrtle is a lot of fun! Gonna be at the House of Blues tonight...

Snoop Dog was there the week I was in Myrtle. If i wasnt a middle age white guy I would have gone. :hysterical: The hotel i stayed at was right by the House of blues. It was the barefoot resort. One of those timeshare places. Very nice.

I liked Hilton Head but Myrtle beach was even better. I love that new Brodway at the beach thing.

Last night it was Butch Walker and American Hi-Fi. Angry skate-punks from Atlanta. Really good - not quite my cup of tea, though. Butch is my wife's friend's sister's husband...

Yes, it was a "girly man" hurricane by the time it hit Wilmington but while it was here we were "manly men doing manly things in a manly way" (to borrow from a SNL skit from the NRFPTP days...) ;)
