: Reading New Messages

I find that while catching up on my reading after a few short minutes the unread threads change and I have to try and figure out which ones I have not read. Can the timing be extended on that or something?

Just hit the "View New Posts" link again?

But they are no longer new.

IV had this happen before, I think that it thinks once you view new posts once, that they arn't knew anymore, which sucks. Soooo my way of fixing it is to just hit back three times after you respond and itl take you back to the list.

I've always followed nocturn's method and it seems to work for me.

Or you could just use Netscape/Mozilla and open each thread you want to read in a new tab while leaving the "new messages" tab alone. :D

I believe that 15 minutes after you check the boards, all unread messages are automatically set as read. This is controlled by cookies. I'm not positive about the 15 minute thing, but it's around there. If you're a slow reader (like me) it may be a problem.
