I need some help here. I have given my deposit at a dealer to be one of the first to have my 2005 GTO ordered. I just can't seem to decide on the color. I have always had silver cars and I am really leaning towards silver with red interior, but I just love the impulse blue and the new grey as well. I would get black interior with the blue and the grey. Here is the dilemma, I love the impulse blue but I am afraid it is just a trendy color that is hot right now and I love the grey but I wish it had the red interior available. I really like the red interior but I don't like black cars and I think that red on red is just too much red, which is why I, again, lead towards silver. But silver is getting kind of old because I am currently on my 3rd straight silver vehicle. I am 25 years old, and I am in sales so periodically I will have customers in my car. So the image the car gives is important as well. I want the color scheme to be timeless, not necessarily classic, but timeless & classy. Any advise out there? Please help!

Black on black is the classiest and will resist trends. It is timeless. Just ask women what color their favorite outfit is. It is almost always black.

Be careful when you are asking a woman or you can end up in a pink car :D

Yeah the black would be beautiful if it would stay clean and not be so hot. Here in Houston a black car with black interior is a giant oven.

What happened to yellow? I didn't see that mentioned, and that'll catch some eyes.

Well, I'm in Baton Rouge, so I know all about the heat. I'm still going to go with black, because I just think it looks great. I would prefer the blue, but there just doesn't seem to be any around (2004 model). So, I would go with the blue. I don't believe it will be trendy as there are fewer of those around.

By the way, I am considering traveling to Houston to buy my GTO.

send it to Mary Kay and have them paint it pink for ya like they do the cadillacs :hysterical:

Well the situation is that I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH COLOR I WANT. So I am just asking for friendly advise. See, if it were up to me I would get a yellow one, but as I said, I am in sales and most of my clients are 40-60 yr old males in the Constrution Industry, so being as that I am 25 as it is, I don't want to send any more of the "punk-a** kid" image than necessary.

Well. I'm 27 and my personal favorite is Red. Partially because I am a big fan of a good looking interior. This is due to the fact that I usually ride inside the car where the interior is easily seen. Of all the interiors I liked the red the best, and for exteriors I can choose between red and black. I have a black car now and because of that I will never own another. Too much of a pain in the a** to keep clean. But **** they sure look good when they are. Before I saw the Goat in red I would have never considered buying a red car. Now I'm dead set on it.

Oh yeah, and I wanted to add that if the interior wasn't a factor it would be yellow all the way.

Do not get silver with red interior. It is a very ugly color and the combo is all wrong. Worst mistake you can make. I hope they stop making this color combination. I hope 99% of the 2005 goats that roll off the lot are all black/black and black red.

There is your answer. You are not buying this car for your older clients, you are buying it for YOURSELF. Get what you want. The worst thing you can do is get a color you didn't want just because you thought someone else would like it or want it or think it's to "punk kid". Then you are stuck every day saying boy I wish I would have gotten the (fill in the blank) color.

I'm not even going to suggest a color. Get what you truly want and who cares what anyone else thinks.

I really like the red interior, I think it really shows off the quality of the interior. I also like the yellow, but I have to have the red int. Therefore, when I am at the dealer tomorrow I will be selecting the RED/RED M6 (2005). By the way the red is pretty bold too. :dribble:

Black w/red interior that’s what I got. This is your personal decision. I like all exterior colors but I wanted red or blue interior (something different for a change). The fact is that GTO has top quality interior.

I decided to go with my first choice...Quicksilver Metallic with the Red interior. Thank you all for your advice. I just decided to stick with what works. This will be my 4th straight silver vehicle and I have not regretted one yet. And the red interior is sweet. I got my order confirmation this morning. Now all I have to do is settle in for the long wait. They are telling me probably December. It's gonna be tough waiting that long... :woot:

Any color would be great however like you I do like the red interior!!

Black = sucks to keep clean, bland
Yellow = gay
Silver = boring

The new blue looks real nice

The purple is the best but not there for 05 :frankie:

well the egold guide is wrong. :ph34r: B) I tried to order one just to see if it would take it and it's just like last year, blue leather is only available with Impulse Blue.

Well as some of you may have realized, I ended up not even getting an 05. I got an 04 and I went with my favorite color, Impulse Blue Metallic with the Black interior. I agree with all of you. Just get what you want, thats what I finally ended up doing.
