Rich Knapp 08-19-2004, 01:42 PM Well I had mY GTO in shop today. They ordered the insolaters and bolts to stop the clunk at hard take offs. Also a new gage cluster. The area fron 30 - 70 MPH didn't light up. I think I will get the bushings from SLP. Dash is great :) Where is the thunk sound coming from? I'm willing to bet it is due to the somewhat weak mounting of the rear differential to the frame. I believe their is an aftermarket differential cover that also has a much stronger mounting location with a new mounting plate that bolts to the frame. That should improve wheel hop at least a bit which is no doubt part of the noise you hear. | ||
