I think that you should begin with the end in mind.
Is this 2,500 the only money you are going to put into this car? Or are you going to keep dumping more money into as you are able to?
For me, if I was going to put 2,500 into it. It would be with the intention of coming back later and putting in a supercharger. So I would redo the entire exhaust from the headers to the tips, and I would forget about the intake since a supercharger kit should come with that. If you don't want to do that then maybe you should look into a port and polished head, and new cams.
I have no idea what any of this costs for the LS1 but I thnk it should be in your price range.

Honestly, nothing beats a good suspension and tires for "bang for the buck" when it comes to making the car perform better overall, including hard launches on the street or strip.
If all you want is straight line performance, nobody said you couldnt get N2O, just dont try to hide the fact you have and use it when you are racing people because that is why people call nitrous "cheating" in general.

yea only got $2500 to spend at this time when i get more i will put more into it , and supercharger is one thing i want..... :P really bad and probably gonna go with headers and whole exhaust , exiting from the side in front of the back tires , so whats seems to be the best for the money as in HP for both and for gettin new tires i already have new rims and tires..... thanks everyones
