excuse my ignorance on this but has anyone painted their callipers yet? if so, can you take it to a body shop or can a pontiac dealer do it? any considerations or advice?

I know there is a do it yourself kit that you can buy, but its just to paint them red and not to put on tellers on them...although I imagine you could cut out some letters and tape them on then paint over them.

doing that myself would absolutely guarantee a sh***y result, anyone paid for this to be done professionally?

Yup, painted mine red, took about an hour (per caliper) in the garage. Used a kit bought online from The Eastwood Company.

Looks very professional.

And if you had only scrolled a little further down the Apperance Forum, you would have realized that I already discussed this very topic a loooong time ago.

desertgoat, nice job with your calipers they look great , but i was trying to find someone who got it done at a shop for some pointers and it looks like you "discussed" this topic by yourself. :eatarrow:

I am sure you can order some 2005 calipers for a couple million

I had my HSV brake calipers painted by the guy who paint matched my hood to the car. Brakes are now painted and cleared to match the car. Check my car in the vBGarage to see the brakes. Did them before I put them on the car, so no problems whatsoever would show their head.
