Just wondering what sort of gas mileage people are getting from their new gto's....12.2mpg average for me so far....

I don't own one but in some previous threads the numbers have been lower than the posted ... mid/upper teens.... but at the same time you may want to consider resetting the counter every so often so your numbers are based on current driving and not driving from 6 weeks ago etc :)

Also, if you have on occasion pressed the accelerator hard you may want to reset otherwise your numbers will look like a hummer :)

Btw... to help the others are you driving an auto or a stick... the Auto will only max out at 21mpg (not an average) at best because of the axle ratio being set at an aggresive level as opposed to something more efficent like what you see on thr stock Corvettes.

14-15 mpg in town

6-8 when I am in a hurry

NO problems getting about 25-26 mpg cruising at 75 mph.

Getting about 18.5 mpg around town.

About 20 mpg average.

About 6 mpg during my Warp 9 bursts from stoplight to stoplight.....

Got about 27mpg on a trip. Average about 19mpg driving to work. This is really close to what I got in my Grand Prix.

Been averaging about 17 with 90% city driving.

I'm averaging somewhere between 9 and 28, depending on "stuff"... ;)

just a small difference :P

On a M6:

I get about 17-18 city.

I haven't done any long highway travel but my short distances have been about 20-21mpg.

17.5 mix driving with the auto.

City: 15-17
Freeway:19 @ 95mph. 24MPG at 70mph
immature outbursts: 6 MPG

My LS1 averages 23 mpg.

i just took a trip of about 150 miles almost all freeway, cruising at around 80ish, a/c on level 2, trip mpg was 21.2 (M6). thought i'd get a bit better than that.
gto accelerates from 60mph in 6th gear a lot better than i thought though.

man guys iv never seen 18 in my gto and i usually drive all highway most of the time to and back from work probably 17 at the best.... stayin out of it or not ..... but i live in wv a lot of hills does that make a big difference ???

I had 98 GTP & 2000 GT. MPG are for GT, since it has 200 hp I push it harder than GTP
