First question... Has anyone pulled a stock 17x8 GTO wheel and tossed it on a scale yet? (Without a tire mounted) I wonder how the stock wheels compare to a typical aftermarket plus size wheel. Since many sites list wheel weights per size, it would be pretty easy to compare and see what would be best. (Remember, unsprung weight is critical. More so when it is a wheel and tire!)

Second question... Does anyone have a rough idea what range of wheel offsets work best on the front and rear for 8" fronts and 9" rears?

Third question... How wide can you stuff under the rear without getting out the cutting torch or fudging up the tires or fenders? Some 18x10's in the rear would make me very happy. :dribble:

I don't think you are going to fit anything wider than 8's in the rear without mods. (Those wider fenders on the Woodward concept are actually usefull!)

9" rears have been fit already without fender rolling, but dunno what offset range fits with minimal effort. I'm not worried about rolling the fenders a bit so long as the wheel and tire doesnt stick out or sink into the fender on a hard launch.

Here's a link to another forum that has some wheel size information. This may help.
