Hi to all members, my name is JR and I am In the U.S. Navy and have been stationd in the U.K. for over 3 years. I am still trying to decide whether to go for 2005 GTO M6 or a 2002 firehawk. I was back home in Norfolk last Xmas but unfourtunatly the Dealer had not goten a GTO in. So I have never seen one in person just pics only. Can some one mayby tell me if Thay Think the handling and power on the GTO is better than than a Firehawk or pros and cons. The car I had before I got stationd in the U.K. was a 97 Formula WS6(6 speed). Also how is the shifting on the M6? I will be back home for good in FEB 05 and looking forward to seeing a GTO up close. It is also a shame this car is not avalible with the overseas military buying program, this is due to it being a import from down under. Thanks for any help you can offer. JR

Go for the GTO, its definitley got the performance edge, the 05 is going to be a great performing car. Its roomier, and has a nicer interior as well. Infact even the exterior for the 05 will be improved to.

Hi, I was a 2002 z28 owner before buying the Gto.
From the outside the goat looks plain/bland. But from the inside the car is well put together. Way better any F-body. Performance wise both car are fast with the f-body (stock) just a tick quicker.
Prices for the 04 gto are dropping. You can score a great deal for one.
My camaro was not in the same league with the Gto in turns of everyday driving and comfort. No regrets on selling the z28 and buying the Gto. Good luck on your choice.
