I've been trying to find out when I can pick up an 05 GTO ... I sent Pontiac an email to customer service, this is what they told me:

Thank you for contacting Pontiac. We appreciate your interest in the 2005 GTO! Production began 9/13/04. While no date has been announced on when the vehicles will be available, they should arrive at dealerships 1-2 months after they go into production.

The ’05 GTO packs 400 horsepower (295 kw) – up from 350 horses (261 kw) – and 395 lb.-ft. of torque (546 Nm), up from 365 lb.-ft. (495 Nm). Transmission choices are the same as the ’04 model’s: The Hydra-Matic 4L60-E four-speed automatic is standard and the Tremec six-speed manual is optional. GTO’s more powerful engine should lower the 0-60 time to less than 5 seconds.

We hope that this information answers your question. If you need additional information or have further questions, please let us know via email or by calling Pontiac at 1-800-762-2737, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., Eastern Time, seven days a week. Thank you for contacting Pontiac!

Sincerely,

FYI the 9/13 production got pushed back to 10/12...subsequent delivery got pushed back as well...10/19--->11/17. I'd be surprised if we see any '05s before Dec.
