Just got back from the track and I thought i would share my times
i have never been on a track before so my very first run on the engine only was a disapointing 15.142. 94.93 mph
i don't think i was staged right and i left the tracion control on and was in drive
my second run i hosed it right out of the hole and won the best burn out contest of the night, don't know how i am going to get all the rubber off my rear fender
and ran 15.848 aT 102.11 MPH
but after i got the hang of things heres of things panned out!

R/T .408
60FT 2.179
1/4 13.770
MPH 104.17

R/T .192
60ft 2.127
1/4 13.687
mph 103.90

R/T .156
60ft 2.152
1/4 13.586
mph 105.38

R/T .127
60ft 2.130
1/4 13.622
mph 103.96

couldn't hit the NOS out of the hole so getting some tire next time
plus will bump up the NOS from 75 to 125
also will take out the spare and jack plus the 100lbs of amps and subs out of the trunk hope to be in the high 12's anyways
no other mods so far tried to find a fipk kit but k&n said on back order
over all very happy with the results
made it to the finals in the bracket race, got beat by a 10 second mustang o well
will keep ya posted

any one els got any times to share?

Nice runs! So you're just running NOS? 125? That's a lot for no other mods.

I just got an M6 GTO so I think it's going to be even harder for me to get times like those.

This car must be stock and he must not be using the NOS. If the car is stock than the numbers hes running are pretty good.

It sounds like his car is an A4. I ran mine yesterday. Mine is bone stock with an A4 as well. My best time was a 14.24 and best MPH was 97.55. The NOS picked up his MPH alot. Good improvement on E/T too. My best 60' was 2.131 and that run was also my best E/T.

Nice runs, it seems the auto is a bit slower than the standard from the times posted.

How many miles are on the car? I'm wondering if some of these aren't broken in yet...

ya those # sound kinda slow no offense. The GTO is at least a mid 13 sec car. I cant see even an A4 running over a 14. Probably not broken in yet. I hear these LS1s take off once they have a few 1000 miles on them.

5000 miles on her so far

as i stated earlier, i do have an extra 100 lbs in the truck, plus i am no tiny tim, at 270 lbs myself, so i need to let the girlfreind run it with out the tunes in the back her at 110lbs, it will be like loosing your passenger!
And we all know how much faster our car feels when we are by ourself's
So don't " JUDGE" all "NEW GOATS" by my numbers, i just wanted to see what everyone else is running. THANX

p.s. We may not have the fastest cars on the street, but drivng mine puts a smile on my face, everytime i'm in it. :P :D   :) :woot: :woot: :woot:

The car had about 6200 miles on it. From what I've seen it's about average for an A4. My car is completely stock with nothing removed for weight. I'm about 240LBS. M6's seem to be anywhere from 13.7 to 14.5 depending on driver experience. Check out LS1GTO.com for more drag racing numbers. Their racing section is a little larger.

Stock 6 speed GTOs seem to be running even faster than that. For the most part it seems these cars run mid 13s.

Indeed, a guy here has run 13.3 stock...

Right, one guy, Nicky V. Most don't run those times. For the most part, these cars are not as fast as the F-bodies in the 1/4 mile. They are heavier and the IRS hurts the numbers too. I don't want to start and arguement here, this is just what I've seen so far.

From what i have seen on here the 6 speed GTOs seem to be running numbers that are just as good as the fbodys. Many people have run well into the 13s stock. That 13.3 that forestdweller is talking about it true. Numbers in the mid 13s seem to be the norm on this site. My goal once i get my goat on friday is to beat a 6 speed WS6 or SS.

No argument, just simple facts, the GTO has a bit more power, but its extra weight and IRS hurt the launch, and power of the car.

Well '64, I hope you do beat them. I like the cars and I have one, I just haven't seen too many people posting times that are faster than the F-body #'s stock. I have seen alot of dyno numbers showing the GTO is about 20 to 30 RWHP down from the last F-bodies. I don't know how to explain that other than the IRS robbing power.

Again, I hope you get great numbers and enjoy the heck out of your new car. I'm enjoying mine.

GTO has about 300 more LBS to begin with, smaller rear tires are another cause.

Well the GTO defintley has more power. Wheather the IRS takes that advantage away or not i dont know. All i know is that in main stream auto mags the GTOs times are just as good as the fbodys.

:frankie: i'm no engineer at all but i would think the IRS is robbing a little bit from us ( seems like the IRS is robbing us again, like they don't take enough of my money)

also has anyone noticed the huge rubber dampener built into the front of our drive shafts, that can't be helping our power to the road ratios either :(

Went to the track with mine for the first time and with 650 miles on it. Best of 3 passes was 13.6@103 on a 2.1 short time.
I'll be hitting another track as this one has always shown .2 slower with my other cars I've run there. Maybe I can crack into the low 13's :D

Based on my '04 test drive, I would say this: the shifter is a weak spot. The throws are long and the gates are imprecise. I don't know if that qualifies as 'rubbery'.

My current car is a WRX with a factory short throw shifter kit, so I am spoiled.

There must be a decent aftermarket shifter out there???
