Love my GTO, but after 4 weeks of ownership and 2000 miles I went for first oil change and found Oil all over the bell housing back to end of gearbox. Dealer could not find leak even with dye and light. Has anyone had a similar oil leak problem?

Were you actually loosing oil? Any chance that the oil fill was missed and oil was poured elsewhere (given I dont have one yet, I cant remember where the oil fill is at)? Any idea if it was there upon purchase (did you happen to check underside prior to purchase)? :type: I don't think I've seen anyone mention this problem yet.

Oil leak was noticed prior to oil change. I never checked the under side at delivery. Just within the last few days I noticed a burning oil smell (some must have hit the exhust) and oil spots on the driveway.

Interesting to know, I would keep a watch on your oil level and your driveway. It might take a bit to burn all the oil off. Have you do any burnouts or other cool GTO tricks? I have seen times when what appears to be oil can be other things such as clutch fluid.

While changing my oil, I did notice where the Filter housing attaches to the motor, it was leaking slightly. Next trip to dealer will have it fixed.
