: GMO/GMS pricing for an 04 or 05 GTO?

Well im looking to trade in my truck and get an 04 or 05 GTO, but im running into one problem. None of the local dealers will give me a price. Ive called or visited about 5 pontiac dealers locally and so far not a single one will tell me the real GMS price. One I went to just today for example told me that the GMS discount would be 5%.. ok, thats not very likely because when I bought my truck I saved over 10,000 off MSRP, but according to him ill only save about 1800 off MSRP on the GTO. So what im looking for is a reasonable estimate for hat it will cost me after GMS discount, but before TTL to drive off the lot in an 04 GTO.

Thanks a lot, you guys will probably be more help then ive gotten from my local dealers.

C'mon guys...that is not GMS.

GMS is a little less than what you have posted, but I understand why you would hold back. What you posted are GM supplier prices, not GM employee prices.

Correction that is GMS pricing which is GM employee pricing. Do you want Supplier price?

The GTO does not have the mark up everyone thinks. Those are the GM Employee prices. I have several of the 04's left. Black/red, Silver/black, Red/Black, Yellow/black 6-speed, 3 yellow/black and a Blue/black due back soon from Rockin and Racing Week-end. I also have 2 6-speed W40's in transit.

Really?! I stand corrected guys. When I bought my Vette in 2003, GMS (Employee) pricing was $7,000 + under MSRP. I guess I expected an equivilant % for the GTO.

I am still waiting to hear from my dealer for the GMS on the 2005 GTO. He said he is still waiting for final pricing and options.

That small of a discount off MSRP for GMS will make me glance back toward the C6 pretty hard.

Now aren't there still rebates for GMS qualified purchasers that lower that price as well?
And FWIW - I don't think there's a chance in hell that GM is making a penny selling this car at MSRP, let alone at a discount. Think of it this when, depending on when you convert the currency a Monaro would cost from $42K to $55k (base - it goes up w/ the bells and whistles they have available) in US currency and has less power.

No there is not any more rebates for GMS customers.

Oh, but Jason, there is a rebate available with GMS of $3,500 if they finance with GMAC.

I thought that expired on 9/30 (rebate)

You are correct there is still the $3500 rebate with GMS or any customer if they finance with GMAC. There just isn't the bonus cash of $1000 that was on the GTOs last month for GMS customers. That is what I thought you were referring to.

Well guys, this was a tough decision, but I decided to order a new C6 Vette rather than a GTO.

My Chevy dealer just called me and said that they will honor GMS pricing on my GMS order for a new C6. This will be the third new Vette I ordered from this dealer.

GMS discount on the Vette is VERY attractive...so here I go again! I generally keep them for a couple years. The last one I only kept for about 18 months.

I stopped at two Chevy dealers over the weekend and they each had one new Vette, and both dealers had the car marked up $15k over MSRP. That is just sad. When I asked them about GMS on a C6, they laughed out loud and said "no dealer in the counrty is offering GMS on the new Vette"...no surprise, they were wrong!

These dealerships give GM a black eye. Arrogant and rude, and no respect for GM family members. My father retired from GM after 42 years of service. We have always owned GM vehicles and these California Dealers simply do not care!

At least that loyalty has some meaning from my dealership. I do have to purchase the car from a dealer in the Mid-west. But it is always great fun driving my new Vette across country to get it home.

Well, hard to fault you for going with our big brother vehicle, I suppose. Congrats on the new vette.

Thanks.

If I have another good year financially, then in '06 I'll order a new GTO too. I must adimit that I have an illness...I love cars (GM), and I love all the new V-8 RWD vehicles. What a great time to be alive!!!
