I just need the rear and sides if I can get a 05 monaro front. If I have to get all then I will just use all and forget the monaro front.

They wont be available untill after the 05's start hitting lots. Once they hit lots give the aftermarket some time to clone them and get them on the shelves and then you'll be able to pick some up, or you can try from the dealer once they get them. But they are only available in Silver Red and black.

Wait, whats not available until the 05s hit the lots? The auto-X kit or the Monaro front? And which come in only silver red and black? I dont want to have my car re-painted. How much would it cost, do you think, to paint the different panels and could you get them in primer or non-painted? I guess if your talking about the auto-x kit only coming in those colors the dealers should have them in all colors. Thanks for your help, BTW. I apreciate it.

The AutoX kit is only available in three colors from GM. They arn't making a yellow or Blue AutoX kit. Now you probably will be able to get them in primer from the aftermarket, or the dealers but you will have to wait untill the dealers have the parts first, and then if they wont sell them to you, till the aftermarket gets them.

Darn. Do you think aftermarket will make them in yellow?

Most aftermarket companies simply make them in primer, and forc ethe custumer to paint them themselves.

CRIPES! I cant understand why GM wouldnt make yellow kits. I wonder how much it would cost to have them painted yellow jacket.

The whole kit, or just the front bumper? IT depends on where you get it done, Body shops wouldn't charge to much just to paint it, but you run the risk of poor paint matching and such.

I think the idea was to add diversity into the lineup, they didn't want to completely redo the entire line in the autoX packages, and they didn't want to not offer them, so they gave a mix of options available. I think Silver, red, and black are the GTO colors....er something along those lines.

I want to whole kit. But if I needed 1 part it would be the rear. I wish dealers could paint it. I just wish it came in yellow. It would make it so much easier :eatarrow: If I can trade in my 04 for an 05 for only a little...I would only want a front and MAYBE a side. Or just a monaro front. To tell ya the truth, my LS1 converted to an LS6 and the auto-X would be just as good if not better than an 05 with an auto-X front. Thanks alot. Your great help.

I do believe their is a means of buying GM parts online at a discounted price. I dont recall the website however.

I'm not sure if the part numbers are active and/or orderable yet or not seeing as I wasnt the one who found this information. BUT, it does make it clear they will be available unpainted and as seperate pieces for those who wish to purchase them for their own car or as replacements to damaged ones.

How much does the Auto-X kit add to the price tag of an '05? Are the kits dealer-installed, or sent with them from the factory, if ordered?

Nobody knows yet. They would be installed by the dealerships most likely.
