All of our 05 GTO's that were scheduled to be built in September have been pushed back to November. I've been told this was done to help the 04's sell.

Good move on their part. The dealers need all the help they can to get the '04's off the lot.

There are still many dealers running brand new '04's through the local auction to move the inventory. In other markets seems like the GTO's are moving fast.

What I found amazing is that a few dealers I spoke with in Mississippi are still asking MSRP for the 2004's!

My $.02...

My '05 order was originally scheduled for build during the week of 9/13 and was pushed back, according to VOMS, to the week of Oct. 12 (this week, fingers crossed)...delivery date still 11/17.

Better cross you toes also... the odds of your car being built on 10/12 and delivered on 11/12 are....well there are no odds. I would move the Delivery date accordingly. 12/17 would be more realistic.

 sorry

No apologies needed...when I put the deposit down back in June(!), I did my homework...because of the issues w/the '04s, I figured Dec 1 at the earliest...any earlier would be a bonus.

I read on the corvette forums that the c6 m6 had a problem and that production on them was stopped for a bit to fix the problem. The delivery date was then pushed back on all the manual c6's. Could this possibly explain the delay for the gto's?

The C6 had a problem onthe production line, some of the equipment broke and thus they stopped the M6 production because of this. There may have been an issue with the transmission, but I don't remember there being one.

As for the GTO, I don't think the delay was because of this as the GTO delay was enacted/occured before the C6 problem.
