Hello Everyone:

My name is Kristen, and I have just joined this website. I am very interested in buying a 2004 GTO. But I would like to know how everyone is enjoying it. Please respond, I am going to probably buy it soon.

Thanks
Kjanks

I bought my GTO a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it. I've only seen one other on the road where I live, so it's kind of neat to have a rare car. I got a great deal and I'm sure you could too. You can view some pictures of my GTO in the garage...

Hi,
Welcome to the site. If I were you I would buy an 04 GTO ASAP...it is one of the best deals you can get!

Welcome to the board, from what I can tell 99% of all the owners here love the car and wouldn't trade it for anything, aside maybe a 2005 GTO.

Hi Kristen and welcome to NewageGTO.com!

You can't go wrong with an '04 GTO. It's a fantastic car with a world class engine, chassis and interior and can be had (dealer dependent) for a great price. Just be prepared to shop around and do your homework first on pricing figures!

Welcome to the board Kristen! I think you'll find some informative discussions around here.

I don't own a '04 GTO but being the owner of a '02 Trans Am with the LS1 and 6-speed, i can tell you this:
1. The engine pulls like a train!
2. The LS1 is incredibly smooth and tame on the highway doing 90+ mph in 6th gear.
3. It doesn't matter what gear you're in, it ALWAYS has power to spare.
4. The 6-speed feels great! You can sense the road and it's tight; it hasn't loosened one bit in 30k miles.

Now, I've test driven the new GTO a few times and I love my T/A, so I'm not ready to get rid of it for the GTO - yet. However, if you can get independent rear suspension and a better interior with this kind of performance, you can't go wrong! Silver with Red leather interior would be my preference for '04.

Yep - love the car. Very well built - I'm at 9k miles on horrible detroit area roads and hardly a noise in the passenger compartment other than the rumble of the LS1. It may not be the best value if you are looking for pure speed - but if you want a comfortable car to drive every day that still has a bunch of grunt it's awesome. I planned on probably 5k miles this summer for the car - and the other 4k have all been 'wasting gas' trips just out driving.
Oh, and the car really shines on the highway. At 75 you turn under 2k rpm's in 6th, have all the acceleration you need and feel like you are doing 35. At 120 (the highest I've managed to take it) it is as smooth and comfortable as most cars are at 60.

I agree, but i would say it probably is the best value if your looking for speed. The few cars that can keep up with it and are the same price are no were nere as comftorable and dont have that awsome V8 sound.

I love mine - inside and out. No complaints from me... If you want one now is a good time to buy, good rebates and dealers are getting ready for the 05 to arrive so they want to 04 off the lot
