My bolt on GTO continues with the recent addition of the Stainless works LT headers and random tech cats. Even untuned the power increase is very noticeable and absolutely intoxicating. Al and all the guys at SW are great to deal with and i highly recommend them.

Install:
Done by SW this is something to consider due to the effort that goes into a header install. If you don't have a lift, talent, or tools leave this to someone who knows there stuff. SW is the shop to go to if you are anywhere close. Clearance issue with the steering rack boot isn't bad and is about a half inch with no signs of problems. No leaks or problems.

Sound:
Mean, just **** mean. The LTs and chambered mufflers give the goat a unique tone that has alot of throat and baritone. Very muscle car. I will say the chambered mufflers are loud !! As just a catback the chambered exhaust is a great way to get some attitude and tone with out the rasp that some competitors give you. With the headers the goat just screams. I love it and may swap in the SW turbo mufflers to bring it down for my neighborhood and fiance.<_<

Summary:
I recommend SW above all. The quality of the product, the all stainless construction, and the great customer service is worth every penny. The sound is exactly what i was after and the power gained from a full exhaust is impressive. Good tuning only gets better.

Do you have emissions inspection where you live? Also do the headers include the emissions equipment that is needed to fit in, or are they disconnected? Did you upgrade the computer? if not did it thow any engine codes?

I have Ohio Echeck as emissions testing which currently is just plug into the OBD II and if no codes you pass. If i had to do the sniff test i would still pass. All 4 O2 sensors are plugged in. Front 2 do fuel/air engine management. Last 2 do nothing but tell the computer the cats still work.

No codes and no worries. I'm gonna get it dyno tuned but thats not something you HAVE to do right away. If you want max power then you need a tune (that goes for any headers).

The headers include the O2 sensor bungs so just plug and go. The extensions i had to buy for the sensors (17 each) which wasn't that big a deal.

Interesting, so there isnt any disconnected EGR equipment? When installing long tubes on my brothers LT1 we had to disconnect the A.I.R. system and some others.... But it was converted to OBDI.

How much it cost you in the end?

No EGR or AIR system on GTO, how sweet is that :D

List price is 1299.99 for the LTs and cats
List price for exhaust is 699.99

Install headers= 8hr x$65 and exhaust 2hr x $65

Yes, the install cost is huge but i don't have a lift nor a backup car to drive to work so i needed it done. The headers you really need to consider install, the exhaust you can do.

A good reason to work with SW is the service but other things to consider are choice of tips, choice of chambered or turbo mufflers. The turbo muffler system brings the volume back down to sleeper setup without that much loss of power when coupled with headers.

That exhaust is friggin awesome. I spoke with Scott from SW today and I am ordering the headers w/cats and the exhaust tomorrow.

I had a free exhaust coming from Edelbrock, but f' that. I would rather pay the $2000 and be 100% happy. Great product.

Thanks Adam for posting those video bits. **** i cannot wait :woot:

They just take a real long time to open even with cable, 5 minutes.
Just leave open and browse somewhere else.

But sounds sweet.
