Hey everyone, I went to the pontiac dealer around my house a few days ago (shaver pontiac I think, its in Thousand Oaks) and they said that they were expecting a 2005 that day. The guy said he did a favor for gm so they are giving him one. The realy point of this thread is that he said that the Automatic on the 2005 will be faster thant the 6 speed is this true?

It was reported by GM that the auto was faster but the exact numbers are yet to be set in stone though. Also I doubt they are getting the 05's yet as the MSRP hasn't even been announed yet.

he said that he is getting one b/c he did gm a favor (took a minivan from them which he doesnt do). Ill check in a few days though bn.

A/t faster than stick to 60mph...that doesn't tell you much. I'm sure the M/t will be faster in the 1/4 mile. Guess we'll all have to wait and see!

Stick is more fun...theres still more to driving than drag racing.... like Rys Millen and the D-1 GTO =)

Besides, even my awkward gear stirring can get a GTO ahead of most Friday Nighters.
