Got back from the Pontiac dealer today and I left with more questions than I went in the door with. The sales guy was able to pull up ordering information and said it looked like the only available leather interior was black. He said no other colors were listed. Has anyone else heard info on this?

Secondly, what is the color of the dash lights at night? I have a real hard time seeing through red.

Does anyone have any o-60 or 1/4 mile times between the 04 manual and auto to determine how much of a difference there is.

Hoping to buy an 05 Impulse Blue with the blue leather interior and auto tranny.

Welcome to the board.

In terms of 04s, the a4 is usually 13.8-14.0 @ 99-101, and the M6 is usually 13.6-13.8 @ 102-104.

The leather colors change depending on the the exterior color you get

Barbadoes blue only gets black, as does Yellow Jacket


Quicksilver, Torrid Red, and Phantom Black all are available with red and black leather or just black leather.

Impulse Blue is available in Blue leather and Black leather

Cosmos purple is only available in Purple leather, and Pulse Red is only available with black leather with Silver accents.

The gauge lights are white, not red, which is contrary to the usual pontiac colors.

Maybe the dealership only ordered blue w/ black interior and he's just saying that because that's what they ordered. I know for sure if you're getting an Impulse Blue GTO the gauges will be blue...not red. At night or when the lights are on the guages are black.

The 6 speed manual is about .3 of a second faster than the 4 speed auto from 0-60.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll go back to the dealer next week on a slow day so we can spend more time on their ordering computer. I was told that if I placed an order it would not be here for 6-8 weeks. That sounds pretty normal even though they are coming from AU. This dealer has 4, 2004 GTO's and the dealer in the next town has 4 but that LS2 is calling me. I look forward to spending the next few days reading all the posts on this website.

I wouldn't order one, I would wait for the 05's to get here, and then negotiate with the dealers for one off the lot (it should not be too hard to get what you want). I think alot of 04 owners got burned on preorders.
