Not shure if this is the right place to put this, but I got killed by both the 2004 GTO and 2005. Depending on conditions and what mood my truck is in, they usually beat me off the line, then around 60mph neck to neck, then I get smoked... Especially by the 2005 I was following to hear his engine, as soon as he saw I was following him I heard a rev then tire squaks, no time for my truck to even rev up and for the 80% broken ATX to find the right gear.

They are out there, you just can't buy one yet. There are a bunch of them in the Detroit area.

Indeed there are, My neighbor works for chrystler and I get to see stuff every year while he test drives them for about 2 weeks. You forget detroit is motor city, Plenty of top dog people around here get stuff way early.

Your truck stock Melkor? I wouldn't have even imagined that it would be remotely close. How did the '05 sound?

nope it's not stock, has a supercharger fuel, fuel rails, pump, ballancer, and a few other things. It was fast but the supe took it's toll on my ATX and the rest of the engine, it puffs smoke and makes random noises. The 05 sounded pretty nice very tight rev.... I liked it better then the 04

I notice you mention your ailing transmission.
Are you 2 X 4 or 4 X 4?
Reason I ask is when I read ATX I think automatic transaxle hence a FWD vehicle. If I see AT I just think automatic transmission and think RWD. But maybe your's is 4X4.

Well lets see -- the R/T had AWD and was a SLUG even blown...he mentioned a 4.7 (maybe another post?) which I believe if memory serves me correctly only came in the RWD or 4x4. Ok my wifes 4.7 4x4 had a bit of torque and ran decent...my buddies with the R/T where breaking 12s but they where blown and most stroked.
So I can only figure a blown 4.7 Durango pushing mid 14s at best even if it was a 2x4.

It's a SXT 2x4 with newer 4.7 and more than enough aluminum parts, along with the mod's ive mentioned. I just pulled the supe out about 3 hours ago and currently in the process of gettin her back to normal for the winter. Kinda late but better safe then upside down staring into a snowplow truck. I'm not very worried about what happens to the durango all my efforts are going into getting my gto :P I dont even have it yet and a fool down the street is claiming his 04 Grand Prix GTP can stop me... I told him we'd take it to the abondon sub ( secluded, many 1/4 long streets, no animals even are around) as soon as I get past 700 miles, ( 500 + 200 simply to be safe ) and he said he's gunna bring money even... Well if anyone is intrested I might as well video tape this one, me and him have been rivaling it seince kindergarde, he'd get a gameboy and I'd get a game boy color, he'd get a shcwinn i'd get a schwinn superstock, then it moved into gopeds, then he got a blaster and I got a banshee, then he got a banshee and I traded for a 250r, now he wants to vs his gtp vs the gto... Will he learn? well I'll looking foward to it :P
p.s I'll make shure to keep the camera on his face so you all can see the espression when he gets torn up.
Take it easy eveyrone! have a safe night!

Oh I know, that's why there will be plenty of people and a first aid kit for his broken heart.
