Jason,

I will be moving to Chicago mid-January next year. Am thinking of buying either an 04 or 05 GTO depending on the price and difference in HP!!!

Perhaps I can contact you in January so we can discuss some options and prices?

Thanks
Alistair

Z06J,

Where can we verify this info...I'm negotiating with 2 dealerships and want to make sure it's in effect (I had also heard Dec. 10th).

Thanks.

It starts on the 10th, as part of GM's Red Tag Sales Event. $5,500 GMAC Finance Bonus if financed/leased through GMAC. Will run to Jan 3rd, 2005. Can match up with the 2.9% GMAC for 60 months, but not the 0.0% for 72 months.

Well. My deal was 3500 rebates, 1000 dealer coupons, 2000 down, 36 months, 12K/Miles a year, for 276.00 a month and tax (294.50).

2000 divided by 36 gives you another 55 dollars off this deal if I waited! $hit!!!!!

This is for the 2004 correct? If so what's the info on doing a tradeup when the 2005's are out and ready?

Yep, 2004. I dunno about the trade issue. Was waiting till end of 2007 so that I can trade in and get a Zeta Platform Justice, (wife permitting)! Gonna enjoy a whole He11 of a lot of test drives between now and then though. B)

Jason,

I have a question for you. It appears that the $5500 rebate is not valid in the Western region. I am from California and currently working with a dealer on a GTO. I wanted to know if I travel to one of the regions that is offering the rebate, would I be eligilble, or is it based on where the customer lives? Thanks.

Not sure I will have to check on that. I thought it was valid across the country.

Ok here is what I found out. The $5500 rebate is not in California and if you register the car in California I can not give you the $5500 rebate, which stinks. :(

The rebate that will apply will be for the GM's SALES ZONE of the address that the auto will have on it's registration.

So is it possible to pay your State sales tax and register the car there but have an out of State address??

No you can not do that. You have to another address in another state to take advantage of the rebate.

Jason,
Please compare the 6-sp vs auto since you have had both.
THANKS
