Anyone see that AVO twin turbo kit?
They claim 600 hp.

That's not bad considering if you buy MTI's special GTO package it's 20 grand for the same HP numbers compared to 9 grand for the twin turbo.

I dunno though, how much turbo lag would be there plus, how fast will take a quarter?

I wonder if it would possible to combine MTI's GTO-engine package with that twin turbo set up...That would be amazingly powerful.

Turbos tend to be flakey at times though. Though less expensive than a 600hp 'all motor' setup, the all motor setup would be far more reliable and probably still faster due to where power is delivered.

What if someone did that cam and heads 500hp swap and the twin turbo?

The cam and head swap are on the top of my to do list. You think after I do that I'd be able to take the cobra's?

A friend of mine with a mild cam and a 3600 stall TC had no trouble beating up on some stock Cobras(He runs 12.4@108). Unfortunately, more power for those guys is a pulley change away. With an aggressive heads/cam package, it'll even up the score, even against a modded Cobra.

i found a link for you guys that claim 411rwhp on the dyno and the mods only cost 3,000 GTO 400hp (http://www.moreperformanceinc.com/ls1_346_cnc_top_end_440.php) :woot:

Of course that $3k doesnt include tuning which is another $450 and installation which is probably at least the same. But I dont doubt those power numbers. Then again, i'd really like to see what some tuners can do with the LS2 and some bigger bump sticks and CNC'd or hand ported heads.

Wow! Sounds great for power...I wonder what it does to reliability?

I bet you could get a wicked good nos shot if you got one the ones with the single nozzle and put it in the airtube so it sprays directly into the intake/throttle body.

You refer to a dry shot, a mutlipoint wet shot of Nitrous be much better/beneficial.

hey dont put down the TT's... fuel lag is always avoidable when setup right. You cannot beat gains of a perfectly matched set of turbochargers. 600 hp is mild lol. :zippy: I dunno the compression on these cars.. but Id love to see a rebuilt LS1 twin turbo.. on around 15+ PSI  Supra Killa.
