I was surfing sites planning what im gunna buy when I get my goat, I came across this on my favorite site:

Nos Kit
http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/..._30_150HP_Range (http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/2004_Pontiac_GTO_5.7.aspx/2/1680/_Nitrous_Express_Complete_Stage_1_System._30_150HP _Range)

Is that gunna give me the best gian for the price? I was thinking of combining these four.

What I'd Get

http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/..._30_150HP_Range (http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/2004_Pontiac_GTO_5.7.aspx/2/1680/_Nitrous_Express_Complete_Stage_1_System._30_150HP _Range)

http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/...2_Accessory_Kit (http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/2004_Pontiac_GTO_5.7.aspx/2/582/_Nitrous_Express_Gen_X_2_Accessory_Kit)

http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/...gition_Wire_Set (http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/2004_Pontiac_GTO_5.7.aspx/2/2027/_Magnecor_8.5mm_Igition_Wire_Set)

http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/..._N_Europe_39.99 (http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/2004_Pontiac_GTO_5.7.aspx/2/805/_Accel_Kool_Blue_Air_Filter__Mfr_by_K_N_Europe_39. 99)

Along with some plugs. (about $80 right?)

Not too shure this is the biggest power gain for the price, but the total is around $1400 with a 150hp gain...500hp. What else would I need to complete it? and would it be too damaging to the engine? It would be going into a 04 MT 6speed.

You guys think all that would bolt up pretty easy?

Nitrous is the best bang for the buck, if you don't use it often. $40 a pop for refills, and it is very addictive. The kits install fairly easily, just be prepeared to want more and more as you get used to it :D Plugs would be NGK TR6s, about $20 a set.

Seince the plugs are cooler is that going to rob my HP when im not nossin? And how much punch do you think that kit would get me... Enough to stomp a cobra? :dribble:

If I put the 150hp nozzle in, how many sprays or how much time would i get out of the 10lb bottle? Does this happen to be the same stuff as used in paintball guns? If so seince my father is a paintball dealer I can get a 100lb tank for like 50 bux :)

Its most likely NOT the same thing, I believe that is compressed air, nitrous is a mixture of Nitrodgen and Oxygen.

Nitrous can be a good safe way to go fast when you want but, its also the most expensive. The initial cost is small, but over time $40 a month will add up vs. a heads/cam swap or forced induction.

40 a month isnt that bad, that's $10/week. How fast will that tank get empty?

Nocturn

Depends on how often you use it, and how often you purge it, if you do.

150 shot -- that tank is going to go fast.

I did not see it in the list unless I missed it; I would also opt for a remote opener.

I have kicked around the idea of N2O quite a few times now...but my luck is I will line up and the bottle will be empty

Also I suggest above anything else - have it professioanlly installed.

Proffesional nothing =/ I've got google and a stackfull of books, how can you learn having other people do it?

How long can I spray before the engine starts to get damaged? 150shot.

Nocturn

no more than 150, and I wouldnt do that without cooler plugs.

I would be running 2 steps cooloer most likely, but what i'm asking is how long could I keep the nos going?

alot of guys on the ls1 boards run 150 shots all day long with no problems.

Just make sure its installed correctly with all the proper safety equipment. Window switch, WOT switch, fuel pressure safety switch and mostlty make sure its tuned correctly.

also.

Window Switch? And your saying I could flip the spray non stop till the bottle is empty and not have much problems? What do you suggest I do for tuneing?

Nocturn

A window switch is a switch that will only turn the Nitrous on duing certain RPMS, say 1500-6000RPM, then shut off before/after those.

A full throttle switch will activate the Nitrous only upon full throttle.

It is smart to install a low pressure switch, so the system cannot arm if there isn't enough bottle pressure. The window switch is highly recommended, it would be smart to use a 5800 pill as the top shutoff point so you don't spray through the shift. Your trans will last a lot longer that way.

Yea, I was about to ask how to avoid spraying during a shift. The only 2 questions I have left are what should I do to go about tuning it, and can I spray till the bottle runs out and have no problem? for example, 0mph to 160mph could I spray the entire time and not have problems. Sorry to pester with these questions but driving a 33k car I kinda want to know as much as I can. No one likes a dead goat =/

Yeah I know...there's also NX (NitrousExpress) but it seems that everyone has adopted "NOS" as a nickname.

The stock tune is on the safe side, but I would add a 680 ohm resistor on one side of a DPST switch so you could toggle the IAT sensor signal off when the nitrous system is armed. When the nitrous is armed, you will use the 680 ohm resistor to replace the IAT signal, making the PCM think the intake air charge is very hot so it will pull timing. I wouldn't go higher than a 100 shot unless you're specifically tuned for it. If you have a safety switch, the system will disarm when bottle pressure drops below a safe level, so spraying the car 0-160 MPH will be fine.

Happn to have any diagrams/instructions?
