: ATTN Dealers : Need to Order an '05...Help....
IwantmyGoat 12-12-2004, 09:30 PM Dealers...Help me.......I want an '05 GTO and don't have any specifics. How long until they actually hit the showrooms? Anyone have any in stock yet?
Looking for a loaded 6sp. Will be trading in an '05 Saturn ION 3 Sedan w/approx 3100 miles on it. Car is paid, title in hand. Any particular options for financing yet? I would prefer to purchase, but I have horrible credit. If neccessary, I'm willing to use the Saturn as payments for a "pre-paid" lease if that is my only option.
Not sure if I qualify for GMS. Uncle is a GM over Parts/Service at a Dealership in Oklahoma.
Thanks in advance. Any dealers can email me direct at rpelley@gmail.com
I too am interested in an 05. Will buy problably in Jan.
As far as specifics I have a Red/Black 6 speed that should be coming in by January. No you would not qualify for GMS. Also BEP if you are interested in January I have one with no ones name on it. Let me know guys if I can help.
IwantmyGoat 12-13-2004, 04:33 PM Jason....Sent you an email. Looking foward to dealing w/you.
On a side note...I went to South Austin Pontiac/GMC. The salesman wanted to sale me a Yellow '04. It was a friggin demo w/over 400 miles on it and some nasty scuffs on the pssngr side behind the front wheel well. I laughred at him./ After I told him I wouldn't take possesion of a new vehicle w/that many miles, he actually said, "Sorry. We can't help you". I think I ticked them off when I muttered, (rather loudly at that), "And Pontiac wonders why the '04's aren't selling when they have to deal w/dealers like ya'll"......hehehehe
Ok..I'm done venting. :D
steelerguy 12-13-2004, 05:15 PM I have horrible credit, will you sell me a 2005 GTO with a price of over 30K? I'm sure with a request like that you will have all the dealers scrambling to offer you cars!

No reason to lead a dealer on. It's better to let them know any possible challenges they may face in the beginning. Besides that, my trade is worth more than 3/4 the price of a new GTO, (and that's using the about 20% lower than trade in value to be safe).
Bottom Line.....If they're not willing to work w/me, I don't want to work w/them. Period.

I agree with you, it was just funny to see someone be so upfront and not beat around the bush!
Unless I am seriously mistaken though, an 05 Ion sells for about half of what an 05 GTO is priced at.
IwantmyGoat 12-13-2004, 07:30 PM Actually, the new '05s vary in price....start as low as 12-13k, all the way up. Mine has an MSRP loaded for over 23k sticker. Not what I paid obviously, (I'd never pay 23k on a Saturn....lol). But, you can stack on the options on these little cars.
And your right. I hate beating around the bush. No point. Takes too much time away from both myself and the dealer/salesman. I find that by being upfront there are fewer surprises at the end. :D

As I started reading I almost called the BS flag before I saw saturn lol, thought you were going on about a 05 gto for 12k lol... I'm waiting for a goat right now too, i'm hopeing to order a impluse blue/blue 04 and see if the dealer can finance some mods through Gravana Tuneing. I'm currently waiting for Jason to get back to me with a price, If he cant i'll be off to dealership-dealership GTO'ing :) I do reccoment Jason tho, if you want a nice gto :)
IwantmyGoat 12-13-2004, 09:47 PM Yea. I try to stay w/supporting vendors on stuff....whether it's on an inital major purchase (such as the car itself), or aftermarket parts. No point going elsewhere if you don't have to. Supporting vendors know what most people want, and do their best to match it.
ScreaminGTO 12-14-2004, 11:10 AM Good attitude, and belayed welcome to the forum! :friday: I'm shure one of our sponsors will get right with you. :type: *hint* B)
Hey guys I will be getting back to you all as quickly as I can.
Thanks,
Jason

hmmmm, not so sure about that.
GerryTO 12-26-2004, 07:56 PM That's rather interesting Douglas. I was just into your dealership last week mid-day on a lunch break inquiring about '05s and was pretty much run off the lot by an old timer with a "It ll be months before we have any info on the '05" approach. Only the few '04s that were on the lot were open for discussion and they weren't priced any where near as well as some of the other dealerships in the area.
Hey steelerguy did you not get an e-mail response. If you did not I am sorry please resend your message.
