If you get somthing like a body kit or whatever do you think you should always have rims or does it not matter that much?

Wheels make the car... The stock wheels are kinda gimptastic if you ask me. The optional 18" wheels that should be available sometime in spring through Pontiac should be a big improvement. Aftermarket is the best bet since you can get the wheel that fits your style the most and the tires you want. But fit may not be 'just right'. Typicaly aftermarket wheels weigh slightly less however.

The stock wheels look much better in chrome! :D

The GTO's stock rims suck! I've always hated them from day one and even when they're chromed they still look like caca. If your going to put a bodykit on your GOAT, it's a must to get some bad a** rims and tires THE GTO deserves.

I'm partial to the Zenetti Deuce B's 18's and feel they are the best aftermarket rims out there for our GTO. These rims give the GTO a much more aggresive look without looking rice. Of course these are on my GOAT so what the hell you'd expect me to say??

The cars on this site with the Zenetti Deuce B's 18 looked "pimped"… not right for a muscle car appearance! I have simular looking 18's/low profile on a 93 Probe GT I'm restoring where they look more proportional to the car...on your GTO's they look weak! Better go back to design school! :flush:

Note: the 18's on TrueBlueGTO's car look much better...they say muscle car
as do the one's on Howies!

I just wanted to know how much I could get them seeing as how Im on a limited budget for mods. I think a bodykit and procharger are more important. Rims will be last. But when I do get the money Ill probably go for the New "Z07" wheels from Corvette Garage:

they will come last but they will come. Im sure he can get them in the size that the tires from the dealer need. I get free tires from the dealer for life as long as I only get my oil changes there. I hope they will hold 18s.

I dont think they will fit because of the bolt pattern

Wheels are important, but not just in your driveway or crusin the blvd at 5-10 mph.
Rims with a lot of gunmetal and other dark colors are just bad. (Zenetti Deuce B's included) They can't be seen as well from 50ft away, and don't show very well when driving...especially at night! If you have to get close to see them whats the point.... Don't know about you but I drive my car and want it to look good flying by..I don't plan on having to stop to show off my rims! :D

True, wheels are hard to really distinguish when moving but the wrong wheel can really make a car look hidious while the right wheel can make a car look fantastic.

Dude, I realize you're just bitter cause I called the stock rims "caca" but the Zenetti's blow them away. The stock rims look like some flower power design from the 60's and give the GOAT no presence whatsoever. They don't even give the GTO a "M3 sleek look", which is more of what our GTO's are about. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but the lines of the Monaro GTO don't really fit with a muscle car appearance. Rims are always a personal preference thing anyways, but most people who see my GTO up close say **** those rims look bad a**!

P.S.---I bet Silver04GTO and EYES can back me up on this one..........of course they have the same rims as me. :D

Both styles work well for the GTO, the multispoke euro look, and the classic 5 spoke american car also work.
