I tried to order a GTO today, but was told GM wasnt allowing orders to be submitted for the GTO this week.
There are supposed to be checking every week for me until it they can submit it.

I had my hopes up. The dealer is going to do supplier discount for me, so I am going to give them a couple weeks to see if they can get it through.

The dealer can submit a preliminary sold order at any time and GM will pick the order up once GTO orders are being accepted again.

After reviewing many articles and taking mutiple test drives , with the 04 Gto as well as other cars, Including a 04 Roush Mustang.
I have slated a appointment with a local GM dealer to order a 05 GTO on Thursday,
Im leaning towards a phantom black, M6, red Int.,with the SAP

Im hoping all goes smoothly.

I am getting supplier pricing from them.

I am going to wait until after the first and insists on an order being created even if it cannot be submitted yet. The did this for the last two cars I ordered from them, but now are under "new" management.

Just getting excited. Hopeing to have the car by April.

My dealership took my order months ago. If they wont take orders, it is either because they dont want to place any more orders since they wont be here for months anyhow. Just wait for dealerships to get their stock that was ordered months ago and hopefully one in the right color with the right transmission will be available in your area.

Dealer called me yesterday and said the car was open again for ordering...
and I placed my order!

I stopped in at the Pontiac dealer here in town and asked if they had any 05's in yet. He said they have 3 comming in the next few weeks, but they are already sold. I asked about markups and he said he didnt know what the pricing was going to be until they arrived. I made it a point to comment on how ridiculous it was to mark them up as they still had a few 04s sitting on the lot. He agreed, but that doesnt mean they will heed their own observations.

My build date is supposed to be the 21st. if everything goes well, should have it by the mid to end of april!
