Hi everyone! I just got duals put on my 04. Shop cut down Flowmasters to 10 1/4" so they were the same dimensions as the stock mufflers, added a X pipe and 2 1/2" pipes to the rear.

Cut out the passenger side on the rear bumper cover and added dual chrome tips on the ends.

Looks great, sounds great and seems to really wake the car up, especially on the lower end.

All of this for under $500.00!

Let me know what you think!

I agree. Maybe if they were quad square tips. Possibly dual round tips. Those look like they are a little crowded.

I put flowmasters on one of my cars and that 2000 rpm drone sound made me crazy. Do you have increased interior noise while freeway cruising? BTW, I like the pics.

There seems to be a little drone from 2000 - about 2200 RPM, but I just go faster and it goes away :D . It isn't unbearable though. Outside of that range, the interior noise isn't noticable at all. The increase in accelleration makes it worth it.

What model flows did you have put on your goat. I have some 40's on my jeep cj7 which I tried to mount on my gto. They were WAYYYYY to long. What was the chamber length before being cut. Can you snap me a pic and post it on here with what it looks like from under the car? Thanks man, and I like the split side look, but I think square tips or just two rounds one would like a little better. Still like it though.

Not sure of the model number. They are center inlet, offset outlet muflers, with 2 1/2" pipes. The shop took the endcaps off, cut down the mufflers to 10 1/4 inches (stock muffler length) then welded the endcaps back on.

I looked at putting singles on it, but it looked awful empty. I went with the dual rounds because that is what it had stock and I tried to stay with that. Because I went with bigger pipes from the cat back, of course the dual splitter was bigger also, so now it is a little crowded looking (based on some of the responses here).

It has a nice growl to it, though! :D

From that picture -- that is a nice job on the right side bumper cut out...who did that? Did you have to repaint anywhere? I would like some details on the bumper cut out if you do not mind. B)

The shop that did the exhaust did the bumper cut. They cut it short with a sawzall, then used a air grinder to smooth it out. There was no repainting involved, and thankfully, no chips or cracks to the paint.
