Has anyone gotten a price quote for an 05 GTO? I'm hoping the very low cost/demand for the 04's will effect the price of the 05s. The local newspaper has brand new 04 GTO's for around 24k-25k. Thats less than what a used 04 GTO should be worth (given its MSRP) That's a little scary. There are guys that paid 35k for their GTO's and now a few months later they are selling for 25k. I'm wondering if the same thing is going to happen with the 05's.
But I would love to pick up a new 05 GTO for 25k sometime next year. If the demand for the 05 is anything like the demand was for the 04, it may just be possible.
This reminds me of my purchase of an LS1 z28. I knew it had a great engine and it was fast (so I bought one). But the general public didn't like the looks of it and it was a poor seller. I picked up my new Z28 for 21k. (well under MSRP)

Well its likely that they will go down in price towards the end of the year as the 06's come in, but I doubt you will se discounts like on the 04 simply because the 05 is going to be more popular than the 04 was. I don't think they will have any problem meeting their 12K estimates.

I purchased on 05 and got $500 off MSRP of $33,440 (incld: dest & M6). Tax, registration, etc., will be different of course based upon your state of residency.

I got quoted with an out the door price of 34K, after taxes, and all that jazz. Figure NY taxes of 8.25%, roughly $2700, plus whatever tags and title are. So basically a grand and some change under MSRP.
Funny thing was, three days ago it was "absoultely impossible to let it go for less than 35K out the door" then yesterday they call and say, "how does 34 sound?"
Sent dad a check for 10K on 3/11, should get it today, so sometime this week I'll have an 05 IBM/Black M6.
w00t!
