Cant realy say this is bragging, but I'v had my Goat for 9 days now and this pug is the only one who tried me (Cant seem to find anyone who wants to run me). I was acualy looking at the WRX STi before getting turned on to the GTO. This was the 227hp WRX. Had my bro in the car with me, between the 2 of us about 500lbs (we are not small). He got me off the line, I hit 2nd and chirped the tires a bit. After another couple seconds I go to hit 3rd, he's right about my rear tires by now :) and wouldn't ya know it.....I missed 3rd :drevil: Talk about embarasing!!! By the time I got in gear he was right up w/me so I punched it. It was a nice straigh run with no traffic lights and no cars ahead of us. He was set on catch'n up with me wich I wouldn't give him the satifiaciton. I hit 4th and was run'n about 120mph around 4-5k rpm not realy sure on the exact tac reading cause when I glanced at the odee I decided to back off. Looked in my mirror and wouldnt ya know it....he's no where in sight! It felt good and my bro got a real kick out of it.

I pay attention to my surroundings, INCLUDING the back. I wanna know how close the other guy is and I wanna see if a cop appears out of nowhere.

Off the line even a stock WRX (227 hp) is fast. The problem is when they hit 4th gear they fall flat on their face. Without an upgrade turbo, they are quite slow above 100mph.

I had an 02 WRX and it ran 13.3 @ 100 mph (8.40 in the 1/8 mile) with just
exhaust, boost controller, chip. So it doesn't take much to make them fast.

With an upgrade turbo setup (turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, mbc, chip) I ran 12.7 @ 108 mph. These mods cost me about 4k.

nice scooby. I always likes WRXs and your right. They are easily made very fast.

I like the WRX alot...but this shows why I love the GTO more;)

Finally a WRX guy with honesty. So for about $4K you are running mid-high 12s.

Which puts the GTO and WRX in about the same Speed range. Because for about 4K I can get the heads,headers and cam that would put a GTO in the low 12s.

That's a nice kill. I think it was funny u missed third. :D No offence i've missed gears befor. <_< It sucks but still fun if u woop the other car.
