Have any of you dealers heard of any new promo's for the Western Region to sell off the remaining 04's. As of today (1/2/03) we only get the $3500.00 rebate and I have not found a dealer yet that has those $500.00 coupons that some buyers are getting.

I can't believe that GM will drop the promo's with so many 04's still sitting on lots out here. Some dealers have the same GTO's on their lots for the last 4-5 months and with winter snow on the ground it might be tough to move them.

I'm curious about this, too. I live in CO, and according to the GM website there are over 50 '04's still at dealers within 2 hours of Denver. I saw two red ones at Fisher in Boulder marked at $27K. Other areas of the country are seeing them at $23K. For $23K I'd probably bite for an M6. Even purple! I'm going skiing tomorrow and I'm stopping by the dealer in Silverthorne, who apparently still have three '04s.

I might just throw out a crazy offer and see what happens.

My guess is that the areas that had the $3500 rebate will get the '05's last. And meanwhile, maybe the incentives the other areas had will be offered here.

I stopped by the Silverthorne dealer this morning on the way to skiing. They do indeed have three '04s. One black, one purple, one ?????.

They have a $3500 MARKET ADJUSTMENT on the sticker. That's $3500 OVER MSRP!

I laughed my a** off! From the piles of snow around them, none of the three has moved in months.

Boy we in the Western Region sure got the short end of the stick by GM with this last round of promo's. We never did get the $5500.00 rebate that the rest of the country got and now it has all vanished except for a $1500.00 discount for returning GM customers.

There are still six 2004 GTO's within driving distance to my home and they are all covered with snow. My favorite dealer said he has 5 inbound 2005 GTO's and they are scheduled for delivery on January 16th. That will be interesting for the dealers to have to discount the remaining 2004's on their own.

Can you give any details on the $1500 for returning GM customers? I bought a 2000 Silverado new (and still own it), does this qualify?

Hey guys, don't get fooled on what the new incentives are. There is the $1500 owner loyalty, but GM paid all dealers a final payout on all 04 models, GTO included. The final payout on the GTO was $5000. So really the current rebate is $6500 for a current GM owner. Also there is a $700 GM accesories discount on the purchase of the scooped hood or grill inserts.
