Does the 05 have 6 bolt mains?

I was reviewing the 2004 GTO commercial about the LS-1 engine and it stated 6 bolt mains for the 2004. Does anyone know if the 05 is the same?

Here is the info direct from the GM service manual for the '05 GTO LS2:

Engine Block
The engine block is a cam-in-block deep skirt 90 degree V configuration with five crankshaft bearing caps. The engine block is cast aluminum. The five crankshaft bearing caps each have four vertical M10 and two horizontal M8 mounting bolts. The camshaft is supported by five camshaft bearings pressed into the block.

The short answer is "yes", it is the same style as the LS1.

I'm glad to hear that. Assuming the crank is of equal quality then this engine should hold up very well to a small 5-6 lb supercharger :woot:
