Just keep us up to date on everything Holden is doing. Do you all mind OZ being refered to as "Down Under"...or is it kinda a stereo type?

Yep one Australian here..

And yeah as for 'down under'.....apart from it sounding stupid I don't have a problem with it. :P

I would reckon that no employee of Holden will be forthcoming with any information about what is happening "inside the barbed wire fence" at Elizabeth. They would have their employment terminated forthwith.

You are going to have to rely on what we see through the fence and what gets seen out on the roads under test.

Hi Branden I.m about a two hour drive from the elizabeth assembly plant.
I go there several times a year to attend Holden College courses. I've been a mechanic for over twenty years.

I'm an Aussie too. I have just bought a 2002 V2 - it was Mike Simcoe's company car and I bought it directly from Holden - it prototyped the new VZ colour Turismo blue, which for some reason is not a 2005 Pontiac GTO color? Maybe they're waiting for 2006?

See my journey to pick it up at Holden's plant at My New Monaro Webpage (http://members.fortunecity.com/ozfairlane/new_page_1.htm)

Also if you haven't already you might like to visit my post GM ditches ‘US Commodore’ (http://www.newagegto.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1362&view=findpost&p=42541) as an update!

P.S. I don't mind Downunder if you don't mind Upover..

I just joined and am an Aussie too. Member of a Monaro club, a couple of the members work for Holden as well. Don't know too much but more than willing to help.

Peter.

Mang01, have seen your pics on the Oz ls1 site. Nice ride. It should be a collector's item in the near future. Welcome to the board. Mike.

Yup an Aussie here as well, automotive electronics technician and I've had extensive work with the Holden Commodores from all models, feel free to ask about the 12V side of things.
