For anyone who has a 2005 or has driven one, does the car feel as responsive at the 04's with the cable type throttle? I just wondered how responsive the 05s were with the new electronic throttle control. Do you feel any differance in the pedal as well? I test drove an 04 and I thought the throttle was very stiff.

I never drove an '04 so I really can't compare the two but I can tell you the throttle on my '05 is very stiff and responsive. I was very surprised when I test drove it. This was one of the factors in me choosing the '05 Goat over the '05 Mustang GT. The Mustang's throttle was not very responsive at all with a noticable delay.

I've driven both the 04 and 05 and i'd say the 05 actualy felt better. The throttle 'feel' is realistic with the drive by wire but the traction control is 100% seamless with it vs the 04 which kicks the pedal back when it cuts power. Personaly, it felt perfectly fine. No 'lag' when I pressed the throttle to feel the power come on or anything odd like that.

Ive driven both, the 05 feels appreciably faster in accelerating and response.

I agree... It is effortless to spin the tires in first gear even with the TC enabled. Heck, second gets loose if your not carefull! And I havent even pushed it that hard yet!
