Returning home from visiting my mother I got killed bad.......lol
I'm crusing about 80mph in the fast lane when up ahead in the middle lane I see these mean looking exhaust tips coming from a black Mercedes?? It had 4 pipes coming out the back, and as I got closer I noticed it also had a full body kit and said V8 on the front fender. The car looked way sick, and was fully limo blacked out all around even on the drivers side. It said AMG on the back??? I pulled up right next to it and looked over and maintained my speed with it.........dropped it into 4th..... Didn't know if he was going run or not so I waited. Then bam he floors it.........we were both at a speed of 70 when he took off.
This car pulled like a son bitch and I stayed in 4th all the way to 130mph.....I never caught him and he pretty much had me by 2 car lengths.......he kept going at 130mph + and I assume he was at speeds of 150mph. Even when I dropped it in 5th at 130mph I couldn't catch him. My adreneline was going through the roof by the way!!!

All I gotta say is this car handed me my a**... :tongue:
He finally slowed down and I once again pulled up right next to him and I motioned him to roll down his window. I gave him a thumbs and said, "what the hell is in that"?? He just smiled gave me a thumbs up back and said 469hp!!!

It was a cool experience overall as not too many drivers of high end luxary cars actually drive them hard or even know how to change the oil..... :D

Does anybody know exactly what model this was of a Mercedes AMG??? How much is one??

It would help if you gave more details about the car, did it only say AMG on the back, was it a 2door, was it a convertible, etc.

Going off of the HP number it was a E55 AMG ($80,220).

Im not to impressed in the car itself, not for a supercharged 5.4L V8. Not when Caddie is making a SC northstar that makes 440 HP out of a 4.4L V8.

It was a 2 door............AMG on the back..............4 pipes(dual split quad exhaust)...............full body kit.

It might have said SL AMG or CL AMG?? It happened so **** fast I can't remember...........plus I drove away with my tail between my a**...lol

Hrm, well the SL class, is their hardtop convertible, and the CL doesn't come with 469, it comes with 493...

So, either it was a 4 door, or he doesn't know how much power he has. The only other car thats making 469 is the CLS55 but the MSRP on that hasn't even been announced so I doubt it was that.

I get the feeliong it was an SL or an SLK and the owner didtn know what the hell they had. I really doubt it was a CL, unless it was one of the new 600 or 65s and it was read wrong.

469 HP was the E55. I love ALL the AMG Benz's......

As I said before, he doesn't think its an E55.

Maybe it did have 4 doors? I really don't remember cause it happened so fast........The picture of the Mercedes with the 4 pipes looks just like it, but his was black and pipes were gold! The sides skirts were alot meaner looking on his then the ones on that grey one.

Whatever the case............his car cost about 3 times more then mine and I bet if I dumped $10,000.00 into my LS-1 I'd smoke his a** easy. :woot:

cost. I just dont get them. Maybe a Vette every once in while.
I wouldn't feel bad if I lost to $80,000 car. It's the $3500 pickup truck(which needed definte body and paint work) that handed my head to me in my TTA that really bother me. That guy must have been laughing all the way home. Talk about sleeper!!!

Mercedes underrates their E55, it puts down the same dyno numbers as the 493hp SL55

The thing about these cars is that they have 500+ft/lbs of torque!!

They are FAST on the highway, I'm not gonna mess with one until I get some mods done (well I need the car first too lol)
