I am a newbie on this board, but not to the Tour. I have been on the last six tours and I'm taking my new Goat this year. It is the most fun you can have in a car while wearing your seatbelt! Anyone else up for a run?

Where will the Power Tour run this year and what are the dates?

I wouldn't be able to do the whole tour, but could possibly run a leg if it was close to my area.

This year's Tour will start at Miller Park in Milwaukee, WI on June 4. It will then head for Springfield Il, followed by IRP in Indy, Nashville TN, Birmingham AL, Tallahasse FL, and will end in Kissimmee FL on the 10th. The 11th will remain in Kissimmee for the Long Haul awards/photo. More details are available at the Hot Rod website. It truely is the perfect motorhead vacation.

I see one leg runs from Springfield IL, to Indy. I have a feeling that route will take the tour right through the hometown of my parents. So I might be able to join for part of that leg and make a trip to see my folks at the same time. I'll see what comes up. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Leave the rest of your calander open, Orbit. If you do one leg you will wish you could go the rest of the way. Has anyone else on this board ever been?

I am thinking about it also. i just my gto couple of weeks ago. i live close to champaign, il and they will probably come this way to go to indy after the leave springfield,il. if i do i will probably do the whole thing. but it would cool if i did and got to know some people before i went. it would be nice to have someone to talk to. still got a couple of months yet but ill keep ya posted if your still interested if anyone going. :afro: :friday:

The countdown clock is at two months and two days 'till the Power Tour starts. Has anyone else decided to go? The perfect vacation for a motorhead. It's a week long road trip with all kinds of cool cars and people. Who's up for it?

We are planning on bringing the GTO Justice to the Tour. Steve Dreyer from AutoForm Group (http://www.autoformgroup.com) and Pete Basica from Silver Bullet Partners (http://www.SilverBulletPartners.com) will spilt the trip. This car was introduced at SEMA last fall. The development should be complete and the car in final trim.

It has been a long road to get this complete and we are really looking forward to getting it on the street and driving it. This is a deadline and trip we don't want to miss.

good chance i am gonna make it,not for sure yet but still got a few weeks yet. waiting for uncle sam to send my money back so i can some new rims. i would like to atleast get some rims and get my windows tinted and exhaust before i go(if i go). even if i dont get them all i still think i would go.

OEM is better than in the garage. My car has spent most of the last year in various states of assembly, show, disassembly and testing. There are days I think it would have been smarter to just drive it.

The Power Tour is the deadline to enjoy my car. Bring it -- OEM or not.

Maybe they will show the power tour on TLCs Rides again?

In past years Hot Rod TV produced a video which was like a yearbook to many tour'ers. The Rides episode got a larger audience. Titus seemed like a perfectly normal guy (with a really cool car) but I though him making fun of the small towns we went through was not very classy. I liked seeing the folks sitting outside like the PT is a parade.
The Chevelle from the first Overhaulin' episode was there, along with the Edelbrock '32 (Brizio, I think) roadster and the silver E-bay "Fast FWD" Mustang from Rad Rides by Troy, both of which were featured on Rides. Maybe they can show those episodes again, also.

i will probably do it whether or not i do anything to it. but i would like to do those things to it before. just like everybody would. just hopeful thinking but like it oem just the same. i love my car either way. :D

I'm really looking forward to touring JC Whitney Catalog Inc. I remember reading my dad's catalogs.
If you're not coming on the Tour, maybe it will come to you. If it comes to your town there is really no excuse for missing out.
