So I head to my friends house today to shoot the s***. He and his friends are into imports and such. Wile I'm help'n em rebuild the distributor for a Honda DRX some dude in an older Monti Carlo SS turns the corner smoke'n the tire. I mean sick smoke, fog'n up the road. He's hang'n 1/2 way out the window as he passes with this stupid grin on the face. So, my friends having such big mouths yell out "I got someth'n for ya right here!" They turn to me and say "go smoke his a** man." They come by for another pass and they stop. The driver asks if I wanna go, I say sure why not. He asks me to rev my engine so I complay, (stock exaust) so he says oh yea lets do it. So we go out the Belvedere Rd and pull side by side, I tell him you say go. He counts down from 3 soon as he says 1 I floor it. Needless to say I look back and see him about 5 cars lenghts back. I slow down and get in the turn lane for a U turn. He yells out the window "lets go from a roll" so I say "ok, from 20" he agrees. His speedo don't work so I go 20 let him get beside me and he count's down again. It was almost pathetic...for a second I thought he hit reverse. That's kill #1 for today.
So I come back from throwing my sprite bottle away and there's a Jamacain dude with an old P.O.S. look'n El Camino talk'n smack. Again, my friend with the big mouth says "how abou that red car over there" rasta man says "anything you got just make sure you pay up" He pops his hood, shows up he's not spray'n. He had a few mods, nothing special but **** he was confident in his car. So I grab one of my buddies and we head back to Belvedere Rd. He asks me how muc we race'n for? I say $50 he agrees. We line up in the road and tell him go on the 3rd beep. I beep 3 times and we go. I think it was 7+ cars I got him on. I pull to the U turn lane and stop, roll my window down and hold my hand out. He comes up and gives me the $50 and says "lets do it again, I need to heat up my tires" So I let him power brake what he claimed was a posi Camino. After his tire was warmed up (he did however creat alot of smoke from his 1 tire spinning) I offer to start from a roll for his benefit. We came around past the turns in the raod and slowed to 30mph, I tell him I'm givving him a car head start. I pull back to his bumper and beep 3 time and hit the gas. Soon as I hit the gas I realize there is a problem with my car..........I'm going 30mph and in 3rd gear!! I quickly down shift to 2nd and by the time I exit 3rd again he's waaaaaaayyyyyyy back there. I stop at the ligh get out and tell him "keep your money this time, was fun" and I left.
So, I end up with an extra $50 on my day off :D
