Hey guys, Ive joined a racing league in our area and I'll be having my first race this thursday 3/10. Can anyone give me pointers with launch techniques, burnouts? I drive a M6.
I don't know if I can do this but my pic is on their racing board at this link http://www.southtexasracing.com/
Look under message board. I'm running for 12th place and if you see I'm the only GTO that they have on this post most are f-body.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :friday:

Practice practice practice. and if you can afford it get the stickest tires possible. like maybe drag radials

If you're still running on the stock tires (BF Goodrich G-Force), let out about 10psi from the rear. Remember to turn off your trac-control button. Get a good burn out. Launch about 3,500 RPM's and shift 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 right at red line.

Where's the track you're going to be at? I'm just 5mi North-East of Corpus Christi on the Gulf Coast. I'd like to come watch you tear 'em up!

Track is located about 10 miles from Edinburg. It's on HWY 281 if you are coming from Falfurrias.

I'll tell you --- there are a lot of guys here that can race a car but PM Rob

He is a member here and I can personally contest him getting a 1.95 60' time on a stock 2004 with only a CIA
